Acoustic cover of The Decline by NOFX. Recorded all in one take but had to split the video because it was too long. Enjoy folks! Here's a link to my chords and how I play the song: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/n/nofx/the_decline_crd.htm

  • YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nestorificus2 yeah dude! It felt so good to strum that last chord

  • Awesome acoustic cover of this great NOFX song. Thanks for making and posting this!! Too bad this video hasn't got 5.000+ views :(. It really deserves more views. Keep up the good work :).

  • @ihearttheweakerthans thanks for the kind words man, tell your friends!! the views will come, just takes a little bit.

  • Dude, did you ever mess up when you recording this? I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to have to start recording over 5+ minutes into the song.

  • @FTGChris yeah man, this was take 5. I took a good long break after the first 4 takes cuz my voice was shot real bad. For me the hardest part is the first 45 seconds with the weird guitar rhythm. Its also good that its fun as hell to play :)

  • wow couldnt believe it when u started singing, i thought it would only be guitar^^

  • f'ing awesome dude!!!!!!!!!

  • @TranzparentMethods My point was that any song that can be played on electric guitar can be played on acoustic. Does it sound as good? Probably not, because the song itself wasn't written for acoustics, as you said, but to bash the guy's cover calling it emo is just un-necessary. As for the vox, not everyone has a powerful voice like Fat Mike.....actually, i take that back, Fat Mike's voice as declined over the years. to be quite honest. This is coming from a NOFX fan.

  • @RevillutionDotCom No, it's not the acoustic guitars, it's the way the vocals are delivered, the urgency isn't there in the video. It's a good cover, but the anger in the original doesn't cross over. "13 Stitches" was a personal, lyrical song and "13 Stitches" wasn't an acoustic song originally, to begin with. Acoustic sets are brought forth to make something more intimate. "The Decline" shouldn't be played acoustic, it's too angry. Can you even define "emo" without mentioning "fashion"?

  • Great cover man! you're awesome.

  • @TranzparentMethods How does doing an acoustic cover of a song make it emo? By your logic, NOFX turned their own songs emo by doing acoustic versions of them.....13 stitches for example. You need to learn the definition of "emo" my friend.

  • Thank you for turning my favorite song emo.

  • absolutely great cover! awesome job!

  • @waglagon711 remember doing an 8 minute cover and got the LAST CHORD WRONG.. Screamed fuck louder than i ever have before XD

  • Awesome job dude, Did you mess up a little in the first chord transition or just it just sound alittle odd getting use to the acoustic sound?
