  • Mr.bokokong I think we are on the same frequency.continuation of democracy without interruption is the answer,if somebody vote for them on the emotional basis without realization,he can rectify himself in sound environment next time and that is the way people learn.but if you notice we donnot have that choice against dictatorship, and that why our resources are on sale because they don't have to answer anybody.you saw that by removing all those judges once they got the message .

  • mr.bonkokong you has a genuine question, interruption in democracy is actually protecting those whom you mentioned in your comments.again i will pick up any elected official against generals.the way they dealt 911 and country is now 32 billion dollars more in debt than before while old debts of 22 billion could be written off(remember they offered 30 billion to turkey just by giving them bases)any politician could have done better.corrupt feroz khan noon sign is on gawader acquisition from masqa

  • In my opinion, we have a team of opportunists, comprising of generals, politicians and beurocrates, who most of the time cooperate each other especially in robbing the nation's wealth and only fight when the powerful takes the bigger share.

  • My point is, along with generals, the so called politicians are equally culprit in destroying the democracy in Pakistan.

In fact our generals and politician are supporting each other when it comes to rob the country and destroying the democratic values. National Reconciliation Order is an example, Musharraf would have gone long ago if Late BeNazir had not supported him. Needless to mention the alliance of Musharraf with Chauhdris, Laghariz, Jamalis, etc.

  • Dr sahib,

    Asalam o alaykum

It is a proven fact that democracy is far better than dictatorship; I think we don't need any discussion on it. The question is what are the factors that destroyed the democratic process in Pakistan? Can we simply say that the generals did that? In my opinion, generals come at the end; before they come, the so called politicians do the entire dirty job for the generals.

  • As you said, kingdoms are converse to democracy; I would like to add-in that another opposition for democracy is the feudalism. No political party has any democratic structure within; look at PPP it is like personal property of Bhutto family and Mian Sb cannot tolerate anyone apart from Sharif family to lead PLMN. Except Jamat e Islami, no political party of Pakistan holds any internal elections.

  • any body who loves dictators, i dont want to listen and watch

fuck dictators and fuck their supporters

  • Very nice and intellectual presentations.

But don't you think, along with military Pakistani politicians also did their best efforts to destroy the democratic values in country? Lets not go into any philosophical discussions, if we omit Musharraf's role in war of terror for a while, I don't see how a common man's life was better in BB's or Nawaz's era than in Musharraf's?. Wouldn't it be nice if you kindly tell us the role to political leaders of Pakistan to strengthen the democracy?
