This video demonstrates the supreme portability and ease of setup of the PortaBote, the unique folding boat. The PortaBote is very durable and incredibly stable. It is the perfect solution for those without a trailer or storage space for a traditional boat.
Shown in the video is the 14 ft. PortaBote outfitted with a 6hp Nissan Outboard motor (short shaft) and a Minn Kota electric trolling motor (40lb thrust). You can unload, setup, and launch the PortaBote from any open shoreline, but a boat ramp may sometimes be more convenient. The optional transport wheels (Porta-Dolly) are shown and are very convenient when setup near shore is not feasible. You can easily setup in an open parking space at a busy launch ramp site and not get in the way of others--just roll her in the water when you are ready!
Hopefully you will get an appreciation of what PortaBote owners call "PortaBote style!"--extreme portability, high versatility, proven durability and surprising capability. Now that's what I'm talking about!!!

@Galadrm I bought it second hand, so I don't know its age. My plastic welder arrived in the mail. I bought some polypropylene welding rods. As soon as I get some time off, I will try to make the repair.

Does anyone know how to repair these boats? My boat has a 10 inch crack near the seam? I've ordered a plastic welder as my next attempt on a repair.
