@lowrider5140 Well actually you are supposed to pass on the Left side of traffic as vehicles by law are supposed to yield and merge to the right. Although this is true, entering an intersection where the light is red for you it is then safer for the driver to go with an open lane which brings him to the front of traffic and gives him a safer spot to enter the intersection. He did the right thing and used his judgement, which we are supposed to use.

@lowrider5140 We are trained to ALWAYS pass on the left. Because drivers are supposed to merge right for emergency vehicles. On a 3 lane road, I could be wanting to make a right, and the far right lane is open, id still go in the lane furthest to the left

He shouldn't have been driving that fast will all that standing water to drive thru. There's more officers killed on traffic accidents than gunfire.

@aklepsbeast22 X-D
No... He´s surfing on the water like a speedboat

wtf hes flyin

That is ABSOLUTELY not true that drivers are trained to pass on the right! Absolutely and utterly false, my friend. Go look it up or ask a cop or paramedic.

@NickGarrettIsCool Available but still mainly used in Metrolpolitan areas. Most of the DC cars have them now. MPD cars, not DC law enforcement-Metro Transit, Protective Services, US Capital-. Yeah, it sounds like a Whelen but my guess is an 295HF siren.
-
@jacklimsws The NYPD uses the Federal Signal SM2000 Smart Siren. It's available to all police agencys.. not just NYPD.
However, this siren sounds like a Whelen CenCom or a rebranded Carson..

@hockeygoalie39
wrong. in ocean city pd's district, they are trained to pass on the right side, which is what almost ALL emergency service drivers are trained to do.

looked to me he was in the right lane...and plus, this is just me, if i had a whole lane open even if it was the lane that is against procedure, id still take it
