Ask anyone and theyll tell you going to the dentist for a toothache is one of the least fun things you can do. Thats why were taught to brush and floss our teeth and eat foods that help to keep our teeth strong and healthy. And you know what? The Zoo does the same thing for our animals, too! From bats to bears, the Zoos animal care staff works to include healthy food and treats that will strengthen and clean our animals teeth. Every once in awhile, though, they have take a more hands-on approach. So, just how do they get a rhinoceros to open up and say Ahhhh? Zookeeper Aaron Kazmiersak explains
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is 363 days of the year 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. after Labor Day. General admission is $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 2 to 9 and seniors 60+. Children under 2 and Columbus Zoo members are free.
