August 17, 2009 I recorded this clip in the early morning, just as citizens were beginning to gather. The numbers grew the time drew closer to the scheduled panel discussion with Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson and Pete Sessions. However the ratio remained as you see it here--about 5 to 1 in favor of health care reform WITH A MINIMUM OF A PUBLIC OPTION.

  • The event was scheduled fro 7AM - 9AM. When I got there at 7 AM, there were about double the amount of Pros than Cons. This does not give a true picture of the event, which did not start until an hour after this video was taken.

  • Great piece of tape...from 90 minutes BEFORE the event. Done specifically to generate this false imagery. Your own leader refused to do group shots after both sides were at max about the time the event inside was about half over (and before your ACORN contingent had switched shirts and left; I guess the $11-$16/hr offered on Craiglist by your side for 'activists' only goes so far.

  • My count was 80 opposing and 150 supporting, far different from the dozens of events I attended in which opposing outnumbered supporters by 10-1. The only difference in this event was that they had organizers on the supporters side (opposition has always been just collective of many different people, not groups). I particularly liked being told by a cop to "tread lightly" or risk being removed when I was having a conversation with a supporter (that both of us were enjoying). Fair indeed :|

  • That video was at 6am before practically anyone but select people had even shown up, I am the person with the sign that says "I back reform BUT not this bill". My count by the time the event started was 80 opposing and 150 supporting. Still more than the opposition, so why the need to try to use video from so much earlier to make more of an effort of support? Ah, I know now, people usually fabricate things when they aren't completely confident in their own belief.

  • Haha... your use of the word 'reality' is so funny... didn't take any videos around 8 or 9 AM did you? Glad I was there to see for myself.
