Hurricane Bill turned from a threat to a nuisance in New England on Sunday, keeping many beaches closed but causing little damage. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said the tropical storm warning was lifted for the Massachusetts' coastline. As Bill churned up the Atlantic Ocean and spawned waves as high as 14 feet.
Surfers took to the water in Newport RI. The Surfers were having fun and so were we watching these water enthuses have a great time.

Wave starting at .45 went unridden - too bad it was truly awesome. Looks like this spot can take a good sized swell without closing out.

This video is awesome. I was there on Saturday 08/22/09 and I just couldn't take my eyes off the waves. Thanks for posting this.
