Appalachia Volunteers serve in rural communities within the Appalachian region during their spring break. They can do things such as build houses (like Habitat for Humanity), help with renovations, or simply offer companionship. While most volunteers are generally "better off" monetarily than those they visit, the exchanges are mutual. For more information, visit:
