The BNSF Daylight Steam Locomotive traveled through Vancouver Washington July 2 2011. Armed with My Play Sport Camera I headed down to the tracks to watch it. It was going somewhat fast! I was about four foot from it. The video lacks the sucking feeling as it passed by. Lesson learned do not get close to a Steam Train moving at 60 MPH! Say I risked my life to get this so watch it!!

  • Jer, I commute to the big city on a train it's not as fast as that one but sometimes while waiting for the commuter a freight train will go by real fast. That was a very cool train that you videoed. Commmuting into the big city on a train makes it kind of fun to go to work.

  • @HamRadio2008 Know what your talking about. I had to Compute to the Seattle are once to do a show for a couple months. And did it by train. Your so correct made things so much more fun than working! Love the information bby the way on your channel. You instruct very well 73 Jer W7KO

  • I was at this place too (the guy in the white t shirt on the gravel pile). Jumped in my white car next to me and drove off for a chase, but never could catch this old racehorse!

  • @844Steamtrain Small World. Was a great place to see the train! And you were so smart as to be standing by the Gravel pile next to your car rather than on the road bed. It really came fast!! Several cars chased after it was wondering if they were able keep up with it. Thought it might be difficult on Evergreen Hwy. Thanks for the comment!

  • nice video, but there's one thing wrong in the description. the engine does not belong to BNSF, it never did. it's a former Southern Pacific GS-4 class 4-8-4 northern type locomotive.

  • To me that's frightening.

  • @k6tpl By the way Jer when are you gonna do a FUNNY video...

  • @HamRadio2008 Thanks for the PLUG I am looking for subs.
