IICD - Michigan / Promotion Video 2010

We are located in a small town called Dowagiac, 3 hours west of Detroit, and 2.5 hours east of Chicago.

While here center you will prepare for your volunteer work, by experiencing community living, along with your team mates and staff of IICD. As a participant, you are involved in all duties within the school, such as cleaning, cooking, and maintenance of the buildings.

At IICD you learn about the planet we live in, its peoples, the environment, and how we can contribute to a better future for our planet and humankind.

IICD was created because we believe that international cooperation and development are necessary goals for people in our time. The institute is an alternative training center which puts its participants in the driving seat of the education, and trains people to lead many different tasks. Our programs encourage new thinking and by taking part, you will develop.

We fight poverty shoulder to shoulder with the poor in Africa and the Americas, working with local communities. We are also involved in community development in Detroit.
