  • I love how John Stossel plays Devil's Advocat. He really gives Paul floaters to hit out of the park. Great interview.

  • It's too bad most people can't see that. I'm currently in the U.S. Marine Corps and I believe in everything Ron Paul says. The man's a genius and has everything right. Our military presence around the world is not needed. Why do we have troops in Japan? Germany? Australia? What for? We need to mind our own business and worry about our people here at home. If we get attacked then we can assemble a force and attack back. Simple as that. People hate the U.S. because we are trying to globalize.

  • Why can't we stop genocides by force? What's bad about that?

  • wrong

  • we need to end the American empire, every great empire has failed due to economic reasons. the roman empire overextending and got sacked and had no money to defend themselves. look as us now, we have bad economy but spend trillion sending soldiers to germany and japan

  • WWII was justified to stop the spread of fascism*

  • I agree with Ron Paul for the most part. But I don't like the comparison of China invading USA. That is hardly the moral equivalent of invading Iraq. If china was occupying the USA americans would shoot at the invading army not blow up their fellow citizens. This is not the act of a noble freedom fighter. That being said, I agree, it is not worth American life or treasure to rebuild another nation. Lets stop policing the world.

  • i agree. the roman empire fell because it spread itself too thin and we will lose our country the same way.

  • Yeah, but so true @ Montana could probably take care of it...Thats where i'm headed when they declare Martial Law :)

  • Some of you are critical of the interviewer, Stossel. Remember, the objections that he is raising are the types of objections that *Paul's opponents* would raise. Hence, he is giving Paul an opportunity to counter those objections. The bit about Canada invading Montana is a bit of humor.

    Good job by Stossel.
