It does autofocus, but I suggest a tripod for low light, and sometimes for more long-distance shots.

Hey Erwin1218, great photo's man! I want to buy this lens as well but i'm not sure...
Do you need a tripod all the time or is it possible to take shots handheld?
And how does this lens perform in liveview. Does it autofocus or is it a pain?
