i dont get how some of these newer 5.3's are quick like this one. then ive seen some that are like in the 8's or 9's...

@neckredjr22 Come and c the gear ratios on my car!!!! a 2500 yukon xl 2003 with the 4L80e transmission..even with 4.10s 1st gear 60mph and 2nd around 103 mph... that thing is crazy. But it is slightly programmed and rpm goes till 6k rounds

i had a 2008 gmc sierra5.3. i installed the bullydog triple dog pup gas tuner,a bully dog cold air intake and the bully dog torque converter. a gibson exhaust system, 82mm throttle body with spacer and magnaflow high flow cats. you can get the package from summit extreme trucks for about 2600 bucks. it was supposed to add around 140 hp. you should look into it its great performance for a good price if u cant afford a supercharger. the et drag time in the eighth of a mile went from 10.20's to 8.9
