http://FlyParamania.com Many pilots are afraid or unsure what happens if they use the speed bar on their Reflex wing. So I created this video to show the effects of speed bar on the wing with a few tips and hints.
The speed bar on your Reflex wing allows you to go further and faster, and if you happen to get caught up in strong conditions its a great tool to use to get back.
The stability and collapse resistance of the Paramania MCJ Reflex profiles when trimmed to full fast gives you confidence and opens your flight envelope.
JUST REMEMBER: Trimmers set to fully fast trim then you can apply Speed bar. Use the wingtip steering not the brakes as to not deform the trailing edge or Reflex profile.
DO NOT apply full speed bar on slow trim settings, it deforms too much the profile, although the wing will give you plenty of warning that the setting is unstable as it will begin to vibrate, you may be on the edge of a collapse.
Its a simple rule to follow, just like any wing DO NOT pull too much on both brakes or your wing will stall etc.
The speed bar is a very simple and easy tool, if you don't use one its like not using the 5th gear on your car...
