my teacher takes this and makes it seem like its harder to do this and easier to jump of a plane and survive without a parachute and she just explained it in 40 seconds

Hoping to add to the helpful hints everyone posted, here is something I learned from my PAX prep book concerning multiplying integers: an EVEN number of negative numbers gives you a POSITIVE product(EX: 2 X -5 X -3 X 4 = 120) and an ODD number of negative numbers gives you a NEGATIVE product(EX: -2 X -5 X -3 X 4 = -120). Hope that helps
