Ruby Payne-Scott was an Australian radio astronomer. Ruby was born in New South Wales, Australia, on 28 May 1912 .

Ruby Payne-Scott completed B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics.

She was often the only woman in her classes at the University of Sydney

And, Ruby was the First female radio astronomer.

Ruby worked in Australian government's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIR) (Now it is CSIRO)

Ruby Payne-Scott had Contribution to solar radio astronomy.
During World War II, she was engaged in top secret work investigating radar.
And, Ruby was an early advocate for women's rights.
