pumpkin's story- update, 2009-
Pumpkin died on thanksgiving 2009, four years after being shot. He lived well ,fully and happily. He died of a complex combinations of cascading medical events, diabetes, pancreatits, liver failure and acute kidney necrosis. He had care equal to that of a human, lived on a medtronic guardian rt for his diabetes, and lived in a home emergency center.
His legacy lives on, and people with spinal cord injured pets can come to www.kadethdarkstar.com for help and support as well as http://boogarandpumpkin.blogspot.com. Thanks

People who abuse animals don't have a soul. They can't live forever!

People can be so cruel. I'm almost embarrassed to be one.

So sorry for your loss. You stood by him till the end. People should be punished for cruelty. I do not even care animal abusers escalate to humans, it is cause in it's self to be punished when the helpless are intentionally harmed. May Pumpkin's "voice" spread the word.
