Bluetooth is alrdy showing its age. Other products you can controll via WiFi, much more controll and you can controll it from anywhere.. Bluetooth has to many limitations and limited range.

We do like to get a better video out, we are still in the process of fine tuning our prototypes by changing the size and look and trying out different LEDs configurations. The main reason we push the video out is to see what's people reactions to what we have right now, especially after Philips announced their HUE. Your comments are very valuable to us and we really do hope that more people can contribute, with their ideas, comments and even fundings :-)

Hi, proximity is great and technically it is easily doable, as it is just all depending we way we program our apps. For Android user this can be done, as app can run actively on the "back ground", however that will not be the case for iOS user. To achieve proximity, the iOS user has to run the app for the app to continuously search for bluetooth sign to turn on or off the lightbulb.
