The new Indiana Jones movie is a decent enough movie that is catching a lot of undeserved flak.

For my regular viewers, please watch the video to understand the basis of why I made this particular one.

  • So what you're saying in all terms that this so called "movie" was 100% great, that the nuke and the fridge was also the best scene in the movie?

  • That's not what I'm saying at all. It's not the greatest movie ever made, but it's not as shitty as people are making it out to be.

  • I could not agree more dude. You made valid and fantastic points and personally I found the whole premise a lot more believable, albeit my atheistic beliefs.

Fridges those days went the flimsy aluminium of today, as long as that door remained closed, he was squeezed in enough to keep from harm and ... well yeah: valid points.

The level of destruction they built into it was perfect - emphasizing the true nature of the weapon and as they are searching for the next WMD (the mind control).

  • i went to see it twice,i loved it,i hope they do another one.

  • This tired argument again. It's called suspension of disbelief. Some movies pull it off well and others don't. OBVIOUSLY I understand there is a fantastical quality about the film but it's whether the film creates a believable fantasy or not that separates good films from lousy films. Simply pointing out that Indy is a fantasy film doesn't excuse its failure in this regard.

  • Really?.. In all Honestly your complaining about an action sci-fi(i guess that's what you call it)? They're not suppose to be realistic or follow phsyics. Every great action related movie does this for it opens up a world of mystery and wonder(hence the name). look at star wars. Do you think half those ships are airworthy? Yet it's still considerded a masterpiece to date. Or the Bond fims. Do you think they can put a grenade into a coin or a gun into cigar and they always have just enough ammo,

  • Oh, and about your ideas of how the fridge wouldn't have been vaporized in the nuclear explosion, uh, why was EVERYTHING ELSE vaporized then? And a fridge that sails hundreds, possibly thousands of yards through the air doesn't explode on impact? And the multiple impacts with the ground wouldn't turn the person inside into oatmeal? I can imagine the marketing meeting: "Our target market is really, really stupid people. And there are a lot of them!"

  • This movie was ass. An utter ridiculous mess of a film. It got flak because it just plain sucks.

It's not religious versus aliens being the problem. It's that they explored the mythology in the other films so much better. The alien mythology in crystal skull was cliche and utterly silly.

Silly killer ants. Magic anti-communist monkeys. Swinging on vines to catch up with a speeding jeep. Seriously, this SUCKED.

  • I agree it wasnt that bad. I think Temple of Doom was way worse. This was ok

  • Agreed with you on all angles. Good video.

Seriously, though, why are some of the retorts going on about stuff you already mentioned?

THEY ARE MOVIES, PEOPLE. SERIOUSLY. YOU WANT REAL LIFE, DO THIS SHIT IN REAL LIFE? Can't? Then I guess you'll watch a movie. Douchebag.

  • I realize this is 6 months after the fact, but I just noticed this comment. I was talking about absorption of fallout. Also, I'm pretty sure I said that he would've had to have been at the site for an incredibly fuck long of a time (several months, maybe years) for it to have had an effect. At least I'm not the only one who knows this kind of thing though.

  • Touche'.
