"socialist revolution"... you are way off base. I'm from Canada, which has far more socialized programs than the US (and that will remain the same even with Obama). but nobody would ever call Canada socialist. Unless you don't know the meaning of socialism.

The US has framed a debate around whether or not Iran is trying to build a bomb. The logic is, if Iran builds a bomb, then it's the end of the world. This all makes sense if you forget the fact Israel and numerous other countries quite openly defy International organizations

I would argue that the Middle East will be a safer place if Iran had a bomb to deter Israeli aggression (which is the most extreme). Though Iran will never use aggression against Israel, unless it has a deathwish

domestic and foreign policies are one in the same. they impact each other. as america builds bombs, we let bridges collapse and cities decay. they are not separate. democratic can mean whatever people decide it to be, through propaganda, coercion and lies. democracy is a failure. Slavery was a democratic right in America's history. Hence why many blacks including MLK were republican. Limited constitutional republics work better and stop mob rule, when practice matches theory.

You didnt refer to my point that "being more democratically/ being more secular/ being more emancipated" does not justify crimes against people of other nations.

Coming to what you refered:
I agree with you, when you mean that "democracy" is not a value in itself. Participation in Economy and Politics is, wether it its democratically, in a consensus or "dictatorial" (dictatorial i.e. its nobody business what I wear or with which gender I have sex). Its a mixture of many decision-algorithms.

Well, MLK may be was "republican", but he was also democratic socialist. Often nationalist like to point out the first, but avoid the latter.

Its only "mob rule" if the mob intervens in decision they shouldnt be allowed in. Like what I wear or what I say. Its not only "mob rule" that is immoral. Its as well the bosses of the country who force me to work for them and if I do not, I starve. Resistance is being crushed by Nanny State (thats why it exist). Thats not freedom too.

LOL India is our insurance policy against China. We've collaborated technologically with them since ww1 and we most certainly did give them nuclear technology before and after they had it. As well as information technology and other military technology. Obviously they developed much of it independently but Americans helped them along and always will. There is much mutual benefit from this since China and Russia can be a threat to India, and because India is a good trading partner.

um Israel was created out of militarily seizing land that was not theirs, and has expanded in the same way. Look at older maps. It's not like they bought their land. Not like America bought theirs. Nor is China buying theirs.

democracy is a failure like communism and socialism. decentralized limited government worked best in this country until Woodrow Wilson fucked it all up.

Of course my Polish friend meant the Soviet Union, not just the Russians. And I don't think Stalin's specialness is simply attributable to his being a minority, but I haven't given that angle much thought. He came to power through others and took his opportunity. I think he was probably a true believer in Communism and thought he was doing what was necessary. I don't understand Obama's "stunt."

Let's be clear - the US supported Pakistan's nuclear program, and not India's. It supported Pakistan's nuclear program with the Pressler Amendment that removed US Congressional oversight on Pakistan's nuclear buildup, handing over authority to the President, who was easily able to give false assurances on Pakistan in order to continue funding Muslim guerrillas against the Soviets. So Pakistan's nuclearization is the price the US was willing to pay for defeating the Soviets. Terror is the result.
