@alawoo01 do you say that becuase the tail doesnt have a "v" cut and the fish hes holding is flat??? my freinds and i talk about this,some of the cattys we hook have v tails and some dont.the shape of the head is different but they are both "grey/blue" but sometimes varrying in bright or darker fish. either way the vid is great.

@WebguyAngler you fish new jersey? i read back a bit so you were fishing for trout and hooked this? oh man,it happens to us in spring and millstone raritan junction.they SLAM rat-l-traps haha nice fish!

That has to be a blue cat, not due to the color, but because it has a square tail and a square anal fin. Channel cats have a rounded anal fin and a deeply forked tail.
