A Senate page Brigette DePape managed to stand just metres away from the prime minister with a sign saying "Stop Harper" during the government's throne speech in Ottawa Friday afternoon.
Marcelle had served in the upper chamber for nearly a year and she said in her press release that the government's policies don't reflect the majority of Canadians.
"Harper's agenda is disastrous for this country and for my generation," Marcelle says in the release, which hit the Internet shortly after she was escorted out of the Senate.
"We have to stop him from wasting billions on fighter jets, military bases, and corporate tax cuts while cutting social programs and destroying the climate," she says.
"Most people in this country know what we need are green jobs, better medicare, and a healthy environment for future generations."

Too bad the majority of Canadians didn't get off their asses and STOP Round Boy Stephen Harper and the Conservative Reform Alliance Party aka CRAP by voting. At least Brigette spoke the truth and probably has more balls than most right wing Canadians.

@luvmyctd Wipe the foam off your mouth and present some facts, or bugger off. Slander is not an argument.

@myViewQueens Sure, shoot people. To hell with parliamentary democracy. Just shoot an unarmed page holding a sign in the Commons. Sure why not. Piss on the parliamentary heritage our fathers fought and died for in two world wars.
Why don't you run along and polish your jackboots, you dirty Tory. We don't shoot political protesters in this country. If you don't like it, you can leave.

@bkey88 C'mon man, you know it doesn't matter one bit who our so-called Prime Minister is. It is the exact same agenda being followed regardless. It's been many decades since we had a real leader who actually stood for Canadians. All hand-picked puppets.
Curious too ... what do you really know about Iran ... or Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya BESIDES what you see and hear via the corrupt puppet mainstream media? Turn off your TV & find your own truth ... you will feel better for it. Good luck
