  • Okay so I'm trying to host a server from my computer, but my computer is not the one with the router but I am still on the network, (There is a different computer controlling the Router and I am connected to it) Is there any way I can still do this? Or am I shit out of luck?

  • @IYRushYI as long as your still connected to the router in some way you can do this, hope it helps

  • Okay, so, I have a problem. I've followed this tutorial step by step, and I can connect, but when friends try to, they can't. I know I did SOMETHING right, because when they try to connect, it says that they tried but failed in the server log. I forwarded 25565, put in my ipv4, it's set to custom, and I saved and updated it. The ports on the server are also 25565, the only thing I can think of is that when I updated, it said it couldn't connect back to it, and I have to close and open it. Help?

  • @nickanutCoOl you didnt mess with the server.properties or the whitelist?

  • @AfroNinja720 I actually think I have it figured out, I think the problem was that I didn't unblock minecraft from windows firewall. Thanks!

  • @nickanutCoOl glad you got it to work!

  • Ey can u help me?

    I have 2 routers (Ubee&Airport extreme)

I cant connect to port 25565 , what should i do!

I already have added it to firewall and stuff but i just cant connect to it!

  • I love you...

  • @AfroNinja720 Well like I can set everything up fine it's just I dont know whether to use the server computers external or shared network IP and whether or not I have to host it on the router computer...I really want to host it on the computer I'm on now and not the other one...

And when I type in my external IP into minecraft it will let me connnect but it wont let others and I'm just sick of using hamachi and it's really annoying because my friends wont download it.

  • @AfroNinja720 No.

  • @nickanutCoOl do you have cracked minecraft accounts?
