The Huckleberry Hound show was made up of 3 segments, Huckleberry Hound, Pixie & Dixie and Yogi Bear. They never appeared together in the shorts. The episode of Yogi you have here is the one that appeared in the first HH show. When Yogi got his own show in 1960, it was again 3 segments- Yogi, Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle. Yogi and Huckleberry do appear together in later H-B shows and movies though. My favourite is Yogi's Treasure Hunt from 1985-88 :)

@SMASH468 No, it was first broadcast in October 1958, The Roman Numerals in the credits even read 1958. Yogi was in the Huckleberry Hound show 58-60 then he got his own show.

Why is the animation on Yogi and Boo Boo weird?

@Copper20 Porbably because its old. They didn't really have as much technology to animate them as they do now.

The animation at least got better in later episodes. I think it was just because this was a pilot episode.

@rootbeer543 Hanna-Barbera's animation crew was a very small at the time. They wanted to do shortcut animations like everybody else.
