The Nielson Design Lecture is State Library of Queensland's signature lecture series featuring an internationally renowned speaker presenting innovative ideas, work and methods on 'designing our future'. The 2011 Nielson Design Lecture was delivered by world-leading visionary, innovator, designer and author Bruce Mau, on the 23rd November.

Informed by 25 years of studio experience in design innovation and collaboration with some of the world's leading artists, institutions and businesses, Bruce Mau has made the simple commitment to connect his life and work to education and human development. He is the co-founder of massive Change Network, a new initiative committed to developing purposeful projects in education, health, leadership and security.

Listen as discussed the challenges facing our rapidly expanding worldwide population and the opportunities those challenges present to us to respond with design-led solutions.
