In *some* countries the machoism has gone so far, many are becoming blind to art. It's sad really. Their lack of understanding of art does not discredit the event or the performer, any more than the lack of understanding of Picasso's art discredits him or his works. Figure skating fuses technical mastery with artistic virtuosity, it mesmerizes me and I'm perfectly straight. It's simple pursuit of art by pushing a human body to its limits. I pity those who are blind to it.
