Caught in the act!
Welp, since the last video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8doSjQ7Gro I have now "caught" the actual "flicking off" of these lights on video. Several times. Enjoy.
Maintenance came and replaced a fixtures. (I'm not totally sure why.) The new one does the same thing, of course. Then they sent an electrician who fiddled with the wires on another one that happened to "flick off" during his visit; and now that light screws up more than the others. There are eleven of these ceiling lights throughout the unit, and they ALL do it from time to time. This video shows four of the fixtures exhibiting the problem (one of them a few times over), three in the living room, and one in the bedroom.
Now, I have not heard that other lights in this brand new building do the same thing -- same fixtures exactly -- which would mean an idiosyncrasy only in OUR unit? What on earth would that be?
I am still going after a convincing commitment to really fix this. It has to be fixed.
P.S. Each fixture has one ballast and two bulbs in it. When one fixture flicks off, then the circuit must be turned off for a few minutes before that fixture will work again.
lol haha " i aint afraid of no ghost"
