  • Since the founding of religion thousands of years ago, there has been no religious theocracy govt except in Iran. If religion is the solution, then the founding prophet would have been made King, Emperor or state leader. No criminal or con man has ever written a law that says you cannot use religion or ideology to profit a scam. Imagine gaining god-like powers while committing crimes... too good a opportunity to miss for the scam artist.

  • But this is NOT about religion.

This is about dictatorship: yes or no.

You can still have religion. But they didnt vote about the religious system, they voted about their representatives. And the election was a farce - the outcome was Ahmadinejad because his group wanted him to lead Iran to become a fascist state.

Noone needs to accept this, and the iranian people need to stop the fanatics. Young Basiji have family too. They all need to support freedom, rather than support a dictatorship.

  • It is impossible to bring religion and democracy into a common denominator. Religious laws are about obligatory duties which can not be challenged ( Takleef) and democracy is about laws driven from inner needs and essence of societies and its quest for freedom (Hoqooq). Religious theocracy has failed through out the history. Mullahs regime will also fail , as a historical determination.
