Truths and Falsehoods of Internet Marketing

Beginner Internet Marketers must wonder about the greatness of Internet marketing. Everything is "awesome" , everyone is making piles of money, everyone is striving to brand themselves and and be a leader. While these factors are true for 10% of that population, don't be completely carried away by the exaggeration of it all. Keep your feet planted squarely on the growd.

Hi Mike,

pulling back the 'wizard's curtain' there - you are right, there's a lot of hype out here, flashing copies of checks and what not - this industry is based a lot on emotion more than anything else.

It's easy for the new marketer to get overwhelmed with TMI. Best to focus on learning fundamentals - list building, traffic generation, etc. & keep things as simple as possible. Picking just a few methods to market and master rather than be a J-of all T.

I like your honesty and reflections, though its obvious you have notes (not that its a bad thing to plan). You are to be commended for your work here so far.
