Jonathan Scott told the audience in Big Cat Live 2008 that the 2 missing cubs have been killed certainly by hyenas. And yes, Shakira is still alive , and always at this time with her 3 little girls !

Thank's for sharing ! I think the mother cheetah could be Shakira with her 5 little cubs. We can saw her and her cubs in the serie 4 of Big Cat Week BBC Show 2008. I love this cat !!

Great footage! She's such a magnificent cheetah speciman. A champion cheetah. I love how intelligent she is to know that her fresh kill is kept safest from thieves by staying close to the humans' car. How close did she bring her kill to the car before she began eating?

In the Mara the animals have become very used to the safari trucks and do see them as a way to protect their kills. She remained very close to the car and continually tried to drag the impala kill under the car but we kept moving around so that she couldn't do that. If she had we would have been stuck there for hours. She was probably about 15 feet from the car when she began eating.
