This is the first time I ever took a camera to the woods. I filmed myself killing this big doe at 23 yards. I will film all of my hunts from now on, so stay tuned for much more action.

  • nice video,, but I wouldn't have taken mom from her fawn...!!

  • I watched that same fawn several more times this year...it joined another group of deer and seems to be doing fine.

When I was a young boy of about 4 or 5, my mother asked me which I would shoot if a mother and fawn walked out. I said "I'd shoot the mama because she's bigger." Then she asked "Well won't the fawn miss it's mama?" So I said, "I guess I'll just have to shoot 'em both." Now I'm 19 and have taken brother sister pairs and killed yearlings late in the season that were still with their mothers. The little ones just seem to stick around longer when mama runs off.

  • Love the g5 tekan line check out my torture test I put them through please rate and comment thanks

  • @bluegrasssingingman With out a second thought I meant to say.

  • I'd shot her with a second thought. Nice size doe.

  • awwsome shot!.

  • Good video, not sure I would have taken a deer with its fawn right next to it, havent you ever seen bambi? lol

  • by the time the wildlife dept allows you to shoot does even late born fawns have learned enough to survive without a struggle. the third and fourth months of life are generally when they are taught by their mothers about the browse, mineral licks, clean water and dangers in their home range. fall mast crop feeding and winter survival are instinctive. want to have better rut action? shoot does early!

  • C'mon now, your better than that. shooting a doe with her fawn....but anyways good shot, switching to the tekans this season cant wait!

  • Awesome.
