Commentary~
Moon: Yo peeps~ Urrm... I mixed. Yeah 8D ...*cough*

Minnie: I'm going to be honest here. This group dub should have been out last week before Sprinter but because I caught a bad cold and (maybe?) had an ear infection in the same week... it didn't happen until now (how did Sprinter get released then? I finished the animation for that early. It was the mixing that took longer ^^). And look at how horrible the animation for this video is! This is what happens when you animate when you're sick, kids. Don't follow my example XD With that aside though, this is probably one of the hardest anime songs to sing so please excuse a couple of flat notes in this dub ^__^;; After much delay, Tori No Uta small group dub is finally out! WOOT~! Major thank you to Akemi and Jenn for singing alongside us~~~

@dragonchiId No, no, thank you for taking the time to critique. We really appreciate it. I hope all the girls in this particular dub can improve from your comments. I believe I can answer your question from the Mr Taxi dub though. Unlike our other dubs including Mr Taxi, Tori no Uta had no script (who sings where). The girls all sung the whole song solo and the mixer chose which parts to keep/delete. Again, thanks a lot and demanding is GOOD~ <3

@dragonchiId Hahahaha~ yeah. My mixer was dying and whenever I recorded, I'd get pops and skips, so I was frantically looking for a way to fix it. Then redid each line individually as I mixed the rest of the girls. OTL (I was also a little sick, so my low notes took a huge hit with that.) Thank you for taking the time to critique us <3 It's really appreciated. ^ ^

@ZesseiBijinGirls That explains a lot! "Mr Taxi" is obviously more heavily edited but the parts in it did seem much more complementary. That said, it doesn't explain the intonation issues (tho Moon sounded like she was fighting some bad equipment) or Beibi's stylistic variation. Granted slow songs are much, much tougher but with more insight I now get the feeling this could've been better if it was more organized. I'd guess life got in the way at some point. . .

This wasn't mentioned, but part of the challenge to this song was that it wasn't coded. We did this Nico style where we all sung it as a solo and then the mixer took parts and put them together, meaning none of us knew going in where we'd be singing or with who. We usually try to adjust ourselves, but even so, I have the bad tendency of being over bright. I've been working on it since ^^

Beibi - You can mesh well when you want but it sounds like you're figuring out a style; the 1:39 and 2:47 solos were different. Your control got shaky on notes you handled easily when not trying to do too much. Also, you tend to jump out with a strong vibrato on the last note of a phrase. This song was actually a good fit for you because the low notes suppressed that. I personally prefer your non-vibrato style but if you insist, I suggest experimenting on, er, non-last notes.

XJ_90 - You lost intonation ratherly badly at 1:18. 4:27 was MUCH better (& easier) so the issue here is maintaining control in transition. Easier said than done, that was a very tough note.

Tonkhai - Obviously you're more experienced at solos than duets. You're wonderfully fearless on the solos, but your distinctive style carries into duets, probably out of habit. During duets (especially mixed ones), you need to be more conservative or your voice won't mesh with others'.

Wanna see you guys keep getting better, so here's my take (Tonkhai, please explain so they don't hate me!).

Akemi, Moon - Sounded like one-shot takes; some notes were flat-out missed. Other sections were much better so this can't have been due to lack of talent. Consistently hitting notes is difficult to do live, but. . . this isn't live.
