@123drdre321 Oh, yeah, that's true. That's why it's called a "retention cut". You "retain" part of the deck, in this case the top and bottom packets. If everything stayed in the same order I would've called it a false cut.
(It bothers me when people call retention cuts false cuts.)

I actually feel like screaming at the fact I've finally been able to do one of your cuts =P
Thanks a lot man, you're probably the most effective tutor on Youtube =D

Okay, I don't see what you guys are complaining about. I've never done anything like these card cut things before and yet, this is easy at least to me. I did it correctly with him as he was explaining it the third time i watched. So i'd say i'm learning quickly. Either I'm a natural or this is a really good tutorial.... That or i'm just extremely familure (spell fail) with the way cards feel in my hand.

what did he say at 0:24?? LOL

@LoverOfEm0 i got it now by watching this video twice or so do you know how now?
I'm having trouble 'clipping' the top deck... It doesn't work for me. I can get a few cards to go, but not the entire deck.... Assistance please?

@LoverOfEm0 Okay, so I'm looking at 1:57. The top packet is held by the middle finger and thumb, while the lower packet is held by the ring finger and thumb. Your left thumb should not be applying too much pressure. Rather, it just keeps the packet from moving around too much as the right hand slides the lower packet away. Does that help?
