  • e-2046 and hobbyfan sell the authentic stuff The 'real' bootleg stuff is available on e-bay and invariably comes from thailand or singapore They actually send agents to the Hong Kong and Japanese modelling shows to buy first run kits- take them back to wherever and start bootlegging them. But if you got this from e-2046 or hobbyfan, they are from the production contractor- the Japanese sculpt them in a studio - send them to China where labor and material cost is low and sell them from Hong Kong

  • @SWOLFOOI thanks for the info i appreciate it. Do you happen to know from experience how long there preorder process takes? just sking for a general idea i know it depends on the product ordered. I know its a random question but thought you may know :-)

  • @SWOLFOOI Sorry to bust your bubble, but e2046 are as guilty as the Thais and Singaporeans. They recast statues from indy sculptors from all over the world. Even sculptors from Taiwan have complained of their recasts and selling them for cheaper. Just because some of their quality is good, doesnt make them legit

  • i have a bootleg garage kit xD

yeah, dont buy them, they always come with pieces quite bigger than usual xD

  • @japanorak Hi! I am new to garage kits, so I wish to know which is better please: polyurethane resin or polyester resin? Thank you.

  • E2046 are bootleggers and have been caught selling poor quality recasts of the work of many artists time and time again.

They still sell copies of kits from companies that were forced out of the GK business years ago.

Filling, fit issues, warping, poor quality resin, buy their stuff at your peril.
