  • Your Burgertime cab needs some TLC! Great info also.

  • the burgertime is currently undergoing a full restoration with new paint, new stenciled side art, new font art and of course new cpo. It's about a third way done.

  • Question do you need to discharge something else besides the anode?

Like caps ? , is there some that holds charge..?

because If i do that i use a suction Heater gun i wouldn't want to get zapped from beeing too clumsy

  • The larger caps can hold a charge but usually nothing too dangerous. The only time I have been shocked by a cap was when one of the fuses on the monitor board had blown. So discharging at the anode didn't remove or lessen this charge due to the path being broken at the fuse. The shock was very minor and only startled me, it did not cause any harm.

  • Hey p1899m, I noticed you haven't uploaded any vids in almost a year. I would love to see more instructional videos from you on working on the monitors and just arcade technical videos in general if you can find the time. Thanks!!!

  • @trhisdone Yeah those will arc-weld little marks on your screwdriver, can't feel good.

  • 2:54 MEOW!

  • thanks for the vid, really useful for a cap refurbishing I have in mind.

  • Well, ordered the cap kit for a Hantarex POLO 25" from Bob Roberts and installed it yesterday. WOW! Screen is like a new one now, AND I found a large cap missing from the board completely! It is SWEET now! Can't believe I did it on my first attempt! Thanks p1899m for the great tutorials. They were all I used to help with my installation and everything went smoothly.

  • Have a Mortal Kombat II arcade machine. The monitor's controls can adjust H&V size, brightness,& contrast, but it has a waviness or flutter. Images are bright and color is good, so didn't know if a cap kit would fix this. It is over the entire screen constantly, not just a wave every second or so. Like when someone turns on an appliance with a motor somewhere in your house. When playing you don't really notice. But if you watch the display it is easily evident. What could be the fix experts?

  • the worst shock i ever got from a cap was a camera flash cap....Hurt like heck...lol

    todd

  • why would you want to change the caps on this old crt?
