ClimateCare: Fuel efficient stoves in Mexico

Eco fuel-efficient stoves save forests and lives: This is an introduction to a project promoting the use of fuel-efficient stoves in Mexico. These stoves need to burn less wood for the same amount of cooking, and so cut down on deforestation and the amount of harmful smoke building up in people's homes. Each stove saves an estimated 3 tonnes of carbon per year. The project won an Ashden Award for sustainable energy in 2005, and is supported by ClimateCare, a world leading carbon offsetting company (video credit: Ashden Awards)

yeah, it's like flying a kite- you harness the wind to take your toy way yonder the clouds and enjoy the day. here in this video,these folks are showing us EXACTLY how to harness fire in the littlest effort in bringing in the firewood cut from the forest bec the mud oven burns all the materials inside

They are not stupid, they are just really, really poor and ignorant people, not by choice but lack of opportunities and education.

But I guess it's too much to ask, for you to understand their situation.

Stop being so racist and look at the big picture before you pass judgement...

I think it's wonderful that U had to show these really stupid people how to pipe the smoke out of the house & then U make a big deal out of it !! LOL !!!!!!!!

I think it is simply lovely that care was taken in the design process to allow traditional cooking to continue unchanged. Five stars
