The phenomenon of Bangladeshi women and even little girls sold or trafficked into India has seen an alarming jump over the last few years. There are no official figures, but anti-trafficking activists say the numbers are only rising. However, the trafficking of women remains bizarrely invisible. The scale and extent is routinely denied by governments and police forces on both sides of the border. NDTV reporters set out to investigate how thousands of women make this terrible journey from Bangladesh to India. This was a hidden-camera investigation that took us from the poor villages of Bangladesh to the red light districts of Mumbai and other cities and towns of Maharashtra. While my colleague sneaked into Bangladesh to establish how porous the border between the two countries is, my job was to complete the story in India. The objective was to crack the nexus between Indian and Bangladeshi pimps and get on record genuine stories of ordeal by interviewing Bangladeshi sex workers

  • @Sonya450 Yup and sadly it is only Indians that seem to be doing something about it. And please stop thinking that these souls are being sold because their rank in flesh trade is higher or that they are any prettier or sexier than their counterparts, it is because Bangladesh has failed to feed their poor. Similarly, the poor in India end up being sold in some other parts of the world.

    Peace out.

  • In all this game, the devil is losing and at the end will be accused of everything because GOD don’t want any rivals. Conclusion: live at the full in the freedom of GOD (praying in a right form, following the INSTRUCTIONS in the Bible - keeping the 10 commandments - including keeping the Saturday as the 7th day etc.) instead of in the incapacity and limited power of devil because he is just a temporary puppet. Jesus Christ is our savior and our hope!

  • This is bad.. Indians are coming into bangladesh and taking our girls and turning them into prostitute becuase our girls have the best figures and indians dont have figures at all.

  • So bad.
