Have had complex synchromed pump +10 years. Few physicians are approved to deliver complex mixtures of medication, i.e., Clonodine, Marcaine, secondary opiate at small doseage. Exhauting every avenue for pain relief must be met to be eligible for pump. Frankly, masses or not, quality of life far out weighs the risks that can be dealt with. Intrathecal neuro-toxins will soon be available intrathecally.
