US and European Army's are well equipped and well trained...

Going against them muscle to muscle(Conventional warfare) would be suicide

The best chance you have is Guirella warfare(UN conventional warfare) like the taliban

and hope they dry out and retreat, But for the dominating force its a good chance to test, train, simulate and develop new weapons and tactics in real combat.

so technically its not really a loosing battle its an opportunity.

On the enemy side its nothing...
