Here's me playing through the "Party Pooper" section of the game, attempting to go for a perfect combo. This is probably my favorite section of story mode, because 1) it's funny as hell, and 2) you get a chance to rack up some huge numbers. Unfortunately, because this was on hard difficulty, it ended up being quite possibly the ugliest combo ever achieved by man.

The tricky thing about doing this on hard is that it's very tough to keep from getting hit in this confined area. WIthout the counter indicator to help you out, standing in the middle of a group of goons almost guarantees that you're going to take a hit or two (unless you're one of those people with crazy skills in this game). I decided that the best approach to getting through this on hard was just to keep moving and thin out the herd as much as possible, so I wasn't shy about using batarangs and those cheap criticals in order to create space and time. Of course, it's not as pretty as using counters would have been. However, it's plenty effective.

One day I'll try to play through single player again and beat this section the proper way. Until then, enjoy.

great job! I keep losing my combos when I jump around. This gives me some ideas though to boost my challenge mode scores.

Yeah, it takes a while to get a feel for the little intricacies of the system. Play around and figure them out over time. It's all just movement, space, and timing.
