  • but...you pu8t the food out for the wild animals, right?

    There you have...a wild animal.

    Looks cool, too.

  • @MisterBoneman They knock over the trash cans, steal my chicken eggs and bird food and one ripped the vinyl siding off the house by the backdoor trying to get inside to steal my food. When they show up in the window at 3 in the morning the dog barks and growls and wakes everyone. He tried to attack the coon through the window and almost broke it.

  • We've had everything from stray mules and horses to turkey and my dog hates them all.

  • @slmdj not bringing an argument so much as pointing out a simple fact...

    you're drawing the critters in with food, whether it's birdseed or trash.

    There is a noise they hate...probably cheap enough most people can afford it...A single drummer's cymbol. Get it on a stand, bang on the cymbol with sticks of any sort, after the raccoons are gone, sell the stand to a drummer.

    (he won't want the cymbol)

    I have three regulars in the barn; they probably do raid the birdfood at night, it's OK by me.

    d=^)
