1. To make a subliminal statement about some real world issue or to give insight into some real world issue

2. To show off your skills with realistic special effects. Which Fred Vogel is the undisputed king of realistic SFX and especially on such low budgets.

august underground 1-2 were brilliant but this.....

cgi gore is better than the gore in this movie

and i think the key thing to make these kind of movies great is the acting ability of the victims i didnt beleive for a second any of these victims were realy being tortured it was a verry big disopointment for me after seeing and loving the august underground trilogy, well thats my opinion and im a picky cunt so you might want to judge yourself ' its watchable just never again...

I doubt anything they could ever make would top the august underground trilogy. If they're going to try for a legit horror film they should stop using all those lame actors and get a better camera. Looks like a student film.
