Gilbert threw two tds, colt threw 0 against the huskers, so I doubt he would of beat 2 that Gilbert threw

@datruth218 You're right he wasn't on the defense, but the best defense is offense. Had Mccoy been in the game, Texas would have had the ball longer, not allowing the opposing offense to score as often, and they would have had more points.

With Gilbert in Texas had 5 consecutive 3 & outs, then an INT in Bama territory. Then they had another 3 & out, then another INT that was returned for a TD. At this point Bama scored 24 consecutive points after being down 6-0. Then Gilbert was 3/10 for 52 yards on the next 2 drives w/ 2 first downs. Then another 3 & out. In these 11 drives, Mccoy would have been more mature, efficient and productive! No questions asked.

You are right, though. McCoy easily made the difference of two more touchdowns for Texas.

Damn that Texas team had SO MUCH HEART. It killed me to see us go down! I got to go to the game as my graduation gift I was SO PSYCHED. Painful game to lose, but I am proud of these winners for playing SO HARD. Definitely one of the best Texas teams ever, 08-10. I love those guys!

shhhhhhh. They still haven't learned that you need a qb with some meat on his bones if you want to run the option against a SEC defense. Wow. It's funny to see Texas fans still whining about this. "if Colt wouldve been in, we wouldve won." Well he got knocked out by a dominant defense. Thats part of the game. Wipe your tears and take the loss like a man.
