This video is from an upcoming DVD that will be released in 2012 featuring Comedian and Human Rights Activist Dick Gregory with features from Commander In Chief Vandem P and Comedian Prince Paul. This clip Dick Gregory speaks on President Barack Obama's address to the parents and kids about "personal responsibility". Dick Gregory also mentions the scandal with Bernard Lawrence "Bernie" Madoff a former American businessman, stock broker, investment advisor and financier. He is the former non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock market, and the admitted operator of a ponzi scheme that is considered to be the largest financial fraud in U.S. history. In March 2009, Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 federal felonies and admitted to turning his wealth management business into a massive Ponzi scheme that defrauded thousands of investors of billions of dollars. Madoff said he began the Ponzi scheme in the early 1990s. However, federal investigators believe the fraud began as early as the 1970s, and those charged with recovering the missing money believe the investment operation may never have been legitimate. The amount missing from client accounts, including fabricated gains, was almost $65 billion. The court-appointed trustee estimated actual losses to investors of $18 billion. On June 29, 2009, he was sentenced to 150 years in prison, the maximum allowed.
Also Dick Gregory make references to the banks.
Just recently, Bank of America has agreed to pay $335 million to resolve allegations that its Countrywide unit engaged in a widespread pattern of discrimination against qualified African-American and Hispanic borrowers.
The settlement with the U.S. Justice Department was filed Wednesday with the Central District court of California and is subject to court approval. The DOJ says it's the largest settlement in history over residential fair lending practices.
Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bank of America Corp. bought the nation's largest subprime lender, Countrywide Financial Corp., in 2008.
The settlement amount will be used to compensate victims of Countrywide's discriminatory mortgage loans from 2004 through 2007. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-500395_162-57346617/bank-of-america-settles-discr...$335m/

  • Giving up is not an option and were are still Great!!!!

Jeremiah 24:6 My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them. 7 I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

  • @lipsewi1 However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT

  • I am the first to comment again on another Dick Gregory video. Once brother Dick is gone, noone will speak like this. Dick Gregory has so much frustration bottled up inside of himself, he is starting to not make sense in some parts of his speeches. The man can see clearly what the fate of black people will be, after all of his sacrifice, being jailed, threatened, losing homes, fasting, protesting and in the end he sees our doom! IGregory and I saw black people give up. It hurts.

  • @LordIam1 Thank You for your comment.

  • @Jemeni99 I agree, religion is definitely poison.

  • @aliciabanks You hit the nail on the head!!

  • Sorry, can't understand him.

  • I understand what you are saying. My parents were undereducated and were also embarassed to carry on a conversation with my teachers. They taught me that the teachers were trying to give me an education and that I was to do what they said. They taught me that if I got into trouble at school, I would be in double trouble at home. I had to do my homework and they didn't help me with it because they didn't know how. No free passes there.

  • @LordIam1 thats the the problem we want a great speaker but no doers. how long we are gonna be speaking? activate ur god gene, react, fight and raise up against ur oppressor. to be honest i dont listen to anyone who still wears his/her slave masters name.

  • Religion is poison.
