La Leche League is a non-profit international organization that promotes mothers helping mothers to breastfeed. LLL was founded 50 years ago by 7 housewives from suburban Chicago.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this! I tried to access in the LLLI website but it was taking a very long time to load.

  • Viola Lennon died on January 22, 2010, she was 86. Janurary 23, 2010.

  • I did post this elsewhere:

Dearest Edwina, We will miss u so, what u have done for mothers & babies has been a gift from God. I feel as if I've lost my own mother.

But I know when u reached that Golden Shore & stood in the presence of Christ our Glorious & Almighty Lord & Savior that He looked into yr sweet face & said "Well done, my good & faithful servant."

Thk u, many blessings & prayers r being sent to yr family & the LLL family who have suffered such great loss today.

    LLLove, Carrie

  • I lllove La Leche League & the founding mothers! I have been involved w/ this org. since my 1st pregnancy in 1983 as a member & then as a Leader for 20 years. This is the best place to go for info & support. God Bless LLLI & thanks for posting this lovely video!

  • wonderful video. beautiful.

  • Fantastic... inspiring, and beautiful! Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you so much for posting this beautiful and inspiring video! It is really wonderful to get to know these women better, and I truly feel like they have personally reached out to me. I was finally able to breastfeed my son (who has Down syndrome) after 2 months of pumping, and it never would have happened without the support of LLL.

  • thank you for sharing ... i'm passing it along to my midwives!
