I remember buying this game and beating this game every time I played it once figuring out what to do. This was one of my favorite games. That dude that shows up when ET dies is the boy Elliot that ET became friends with in the movie. The dots that you collect are parts to build a communicator. Once you collect them all you return to the forest so you can as ET put it "phone home". Then the ship comes down and picks you up. You may know this but for those who don't, just saying.

E.T. was a hell of a lot of fun to play as long as you played without the FBI guy and Scientist. Also it helps if you didn't pay full price. I bought it for $5-10 and played it numerous times.

Hmmm. If they read the manual they would see that this game is really not too bad at all. It's easy to mock the graphics and sound, but it's 2600 game, so go no suprise.

BTW, yes, E.T does have levitation powers, as clearly displayed in the film when he levitates the bikes. Or did you think that Elliot had a flying bike....
