  • What make boat are you using in this video? Is it a firefish?

  • Firefish Frenzy 16' 200Opti

  • My helmetcam comes from helmetcameradotcom

  • My camcorder is a Sony DCR-SR100

  • The great thing about most Sony camcorders is that they have a LANC jack so that you can add an external ON/OFF control with display. Your camera should have an A/V-IN that is controlled through the PLAY/RECORD CONTROL mode of the camera.

  • what kind of camera do you use ? great video!!!

  • I have a Sony HDD camcorder fed buy a helmet cam that's mounted to the window frame for most of the videos. The nice part about the helmet cam is that it's waterproof and shock proof so the camcorder can be protected inside the glove compartment.

  • What kind of Sony HDD camcorder and helmet cam,I have a Sony DCR-SR45 HDD camcorder but I don't know if it has AV-IN . I tried the HERO helmet cam which works pretty good but i have it mounted on the winshield and the vibration causes waves in the video?

I suspect that, based on your description, you will be better to stick to the V-8. The sportjets are great for their purpose but for heavier, larger loads they would leave you disappointed.

For adventure and exploring the sportjets are hard to beat, as they are lighter and run skinnier (in general).

Contact Steve at Firefish dot ca. He builds a great boat with your custom requirements.

  • I grew up as a kid running a Raider Alum twin 460 3 stage hammy's on the Stikine river in western BC. It was 26 ft long and super beamy. 9 ft.

used 45 gal/hour, but would fly up or downstream.

Is yours a SJ? I am thinking of buying a new boat next year, and am torn between the Sport Jets or staying with the old tried and true V-8.

Just me and three friends mostly fishing and exploring rivers and Alberta lakes. Would a SJ handle 1500 lbs of cargo, and still be fun? Thanks. Love Red Rider too!
