Sad that today's audiences are raised on such shit as Kate and Jon, and most of that other reality crap. Shows such as All In The Family and Mash were, like said below, groundbreaking. There will never again be shows such as these on TV ever again. Why? Cause most TV veiwers these days are fucking moronic imbeciles.

I was born many years after these show's golden years and I still find "All in the Family" the best comedy show ever. Original, great characters, great writing and often hilarious. I think it is a show that truly represents all of us.

(No wonder it was so repeatedly copied by other tv shows later.)
