Music from the South Korean Psychological Horror film 'A Tale Of Two Sisters' (장화, 홍련 Janghwa, Hongryeon).

I particularly like this piece. Its waltz rhythm gives it an instant sense of momentum, of dancing quick then slow, all the while amidst a haze of melancholy. I also like that it includes a Spanish acoustic guitar, rarely used in classical compositions for soundtracks.

This was my introduction to the wild and wonderful world of Korean movies, and the first K-movie DVD I ever bought. It was like my eyes were opened to a whole new world. Now I have about 250 Korean movies - not to mention a bunch of K-dramas, soundtracks and songs. They have enriched my life so much - but this soundtrack remains one of my very favorites ever. It makes me want to smile, sigh and cry, all at the same time. One of the most beautiful and affecting pieces of music ever written.
