With lower fuel cost and less emissions, many automakers and fleets are turning to compressed natural gas (CNG) as a vehicle fuel. Even though the fuel has been used in this capacity for decades, increasing prices of gasoline and growing concern for the environment has reignited interest. In this video we talk with Kathryn Clay, the executive director of the Drive Natural Gas Initiative, and Stephe Yborra, the director of market development at NGV America, about the growth, development and future of CNG in America.
It is so sad that we do not have more car makers pushing this vehicles. Part of the big disappoint is that very few people know that you can go up 280 miles on big tank of Natural Gas, and the continue belief that there is nothing better than petroleum. I mean look how many views this video has. USA citizens do not care about this, and that is really sad. My dream will be a Geo Metro with Natural Gas!.

I think it'd be great for municipalities and "hubbed" fleets to start implementing CNG vehicles. Once we see viability in those niche markets, I think it could expand out to the greater vehicle market.
